Recently, Takealot has become increasingly stringent regarding trademarked products. You may have discovered that many of your products have been disabled by Takealot. To restore the products to Buyable status, it is essential that you procure a letter of authority from the trademark owner.

For most sellers, obtaining the required letter of authority is not as straightforward as it may seem, as the supplier from whom they are purchasing the products may not be the trademark owner. Reach out to your supplier as soon as possible, as they will need to request the letter from the trademark owner first, and only then can the supplier provide both letters.

Swiftly address this matter as your income depends on it. It's important to work closely with your supplier to obtain the required letter of authority for any products you've already purchased that need trademark resale approval.

We recommend obtaining the letter of authority from the trademark owner prior to purchasing any new products from your supplier to avoid the headache of having stock on hand that Takealot won’t let you sell until the necessary letter of authority has been provided. It would be wise to consider redirecting your capital to alternative products until such time as this issue has been addressed.
